RE-ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS SAMPSON COUNTY NORTH CAROLINA

IVANHOE WATER SYSTEM

Sampson County is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project:

IVANHOE WATER SYSTEM SRP-D-ARP-0114

Bids for the construction of the Project will be received at the Sampson County Public Works Office located at 827 Southeast Boulevard, Clinton, North Carolina 28328, until 2:00 PM, October 17, 2024, local time. At that time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read.

The Project includes the following Work:

The Base Bid will include the following: 1) Installation of approximately 175,598 LF of 8, 6, and 4-inch water mains along the following roads: Lisbon Bridge Rd., Harrels Highway 2, Clear Run School, Tomahawk Highway, Fire Tower Rd., Dr. Kerr Rd., Ivanhoe Rd, Eddie L. Jones Rd., Trestle Rd., Alpine Church Rd., Hoover Rd., G. Shaw Rd., Barnhill Rd. Jumping Run Rd., and McCoy Loop. 2) Booster Pump Station: Installation of 330 gallons per minute booster pump, backup generator, SCADA and electrical equipment. To include site preparation and demolition work, and 3) Residential ¾ and 1-inch Connections: Installation of approximately 440 residential connections from main to homes.

 

Bid Alternates (based on funding) will include: 1) Installation of approximately 43,446 LF of 8, 6, and 4-inch water mains along the following roads. Longview Lake, Harrels Highway 2, E. 2nd St., Harrells Highway (Parallel Line), and Wildcat Road. 2) Residential ¾ and 1-inch Connections: Installation of approximately 110 residences from main to homes.

 

The Project has an expected duration of 550 days.

Obtaining the Bidding Documents

 

The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is:

Prospective Bidders may obtain or examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Monday through Friday between the hours of 8 AM to 5 PM and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described above. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office.

Printed copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Issuing Office by paying a nonrefundable deposit of $500 for each set. Make deposit checks for Bidding Documents payable to the Issuing Office.

 

Pre-bid Conference

This is a Re-Advertisement for Bids since less than three competitive bids were received from reputable and qualified Contractors on October 3, 2024. No pre-bid conference will be held.

Bidders’ Questions

All Bidders’ questions and/or clarifications must be submitted in writing no later than 5:00 PM, local time on October 10, 2024, Bidders’ questions and/or clarifications received after this date will not receive a response. If warranted, Bidders’ questions and/or clarifications may be answered by Addenda.

 

Instructions to Bidders

This project will be funded from the State Fiscal Recovery Fund utilizing ARP funds; therefore, the project is subject to Federal laws, regulations, executive orders, and terms and conditions associated with that program. The DWI Project No. is SRP-D-ARP-0114.

 

The County reserves the right to reject all bids if there is a sound documented reason. The Bidder shall submit bids on a fixed price basis.
