NCDOT-Sampson County Bridge Construction Starts Soon

INGOLD - Construction of a new bridge onWright Bridge Road in Sampson Countyis scheduled to begin this month.

The structure built in 1960 spans Great Coharie Creek. The roadway will close on March 4 for demolition of the existing bridge and construction of the new bridge. The roadway is expected to reopen later this fall.

Drivers will use Riley Town Road, Norris Road and U.S. 701 (Garland Highway) for the detour. They are encouraged to plan ahead for a longer commute and use caution near the work zone.
