Many in our community have expressed interest in assisting our Western North Carolina neighbors affected by Hurricane Helene.

A critical need for bottle water exists due to the catastrophic damage to many municipal and county water systems.

To support that need, Sampson County Emergency Services will be facilitating a drive-thru bottled water donation drop off point at the Emergency Services Warehouse located at 120 Fontana St., Clinton (next to the Law Enforcement Center and County EOC).

The hours for drop off will be Monday, September 30th from 4pm to 7pm and Tuesday, October 1st from 4pm to 7pm.

Volunteers from our local community emergency response team will assist with unloading the donations and palletizing them in preparation for shipping to Western North Carolina. We cannot accept monetary donations and are asking specifically for bottled water due to the ease of handling it and palletizing it for transport. If you wish to make donations of money or other items we encourage you to reach out to the numerous faith based and non-governmental organizations who are assisting disaster victims.

Update: Drop off hours will be

Monday, September 30 from 4 PM to 7 PM;

Tuesday, October 1 from 11 AM to 2 PM; 4 PM to 7 PM.
