Solid Waste and Recycling
For those citizens who reside outside of municipal boundaries, the county provides twelve sites (Convenience Sites) for the disposal of solid waste and recyclables. These manned sites are operated by Waste Industries, Inc. and are for the convenience of Sampson County residents with household waste/recyclables only; they are not for commercial use.
Many of the cities and towns in Sampson County offer curbside waste collection and recycling services. Contact your local city or town for specific information if you live within its jurisdiction.
It is illegal to dispose of solid waste on county roadways and waterways. Illegal dumping should be reported to the Sampson County Sheriff's Office at 910-592-4141. Violations will be investigated and identified violators will be prosecuted.
