Report Stray or Abandoned Animals

For drop offs, residents should call the Animal Shelter and to schedule what day to drop off an animal, drop offs are NOT accepted on Fridays. 

To report any stray animal or complaint in the County, please call the Animal Shelter 910-592-8493.  The shelter logs the information into a spreadsheet and forwards to Animal Control twice a week.  If it is an emergency (bites, animal cruelty, or aggressive animals), please dial 911 directly and officers will be dispatched immediately. 

To report any stray animal or complaint within city limits of Clinton, please call the Communication Center 910-592-1151.

After-hours emergency response is limited to dog bites, potential rabies exposure situations, injured or sick animals where no owner is present, or when law enforcement assistance is warranted.
