Advisory Boards and Commissions

It is the philosophy of Sampson County Local Government that providing our citizens with adequate information and managed and fair opportunities to have their ideas, opinions and concerns addressed fosters and maintains trust in the government process, encourages public participation in this process, and allows us to develop and implement programs and services which are responsive to the specific needs of our community.

One of the ways for citizens to take advantage of this opportunity is by service on an advisory board or committee. There are a number of different service opportunities – some require specific qualifications, but many require only a genuine desire to serve and a commitment to attend and participate. While some boards require specific qualifications for memberships, others require only a genuine desire to serve and a commitment to attend and participate. If you are interested in serving on one of the County citizen advisory boards, you may complete an Advisory Board Application Form and return the completed form to the Office of the County Manager, 406 County Complex Rd. Bldg C, Suite 110, Clinton, NC 28328, or fax it to (910) 592-1945.
